About the project

What we built.

Need Parking matches drivers with parking spaces. A marketplace like this lives or dies on whether a first-time visitor understands the proposition in seconds, which makes the website the product surface rather than a brochure in front of it.

Moweb ran the full lifecycle from discovery in November 2022 through launch in March 2023, and stayed on for maintenance.

Key challenges

A two-sided marketplace has to explain itself to two audiences at once without becoming two websites.

  • 1Clarity for both sides - drivers looking for a space and owners listing one want different things from the same pages.
  • 2Content as part of the build - the site needed its content written, not just slots left for it, which puts copy on the critical path rather than after launch.
  • 3Ownership after handover - the client needed to run the site themselves, which makes CMS structure a design decision rather than an implementation detail.

Our solutions

We ran the engagement as a full lifecycle rather than a build against someone else's spec.

  • Discovery and planning - established the proposition and the shape of the site before any design work started.
  • Sitemaps and wireframes - structure agreed in low fidelity, so layout debates happened before they were expensive.
  • Visual design - mockups taken to sign-off ahead of build.
  • Build and CMS setup - the site developed with content management structured around how the client actually publishes.
  • Content creation - copy produced as part of the engagement rather than left as a client dependency.
  • Testing, launch, and maintenance - testing reports through to launch, then a maintenance plan and post-launch support.

Value delivered

  • One team across discovery, design, content, build, and launch
  • A CMS structured for the client to run without engineering help
  • Targets met consistently - the client's own assessment in their review
  • Maintained after launch, not handed over cold
